Johnson Controls | Middletown Distribution Center

The Johnson Controls Middletown Distribution Center is a 422,000 sf distribution center including a 400,000 sf wet cell automobile battery distribution and manufacturing facility and a 22,000 sf two-story administrative and employee office area. Becker Morgan Group provided Architectural services for this industrial grade manufacturing facility, suitable for automotive parts assembly, conveyance, and sequencing to support form fill battery processes. This project was completed with Wohlsen Construction under a design-build delivery method with a fast track schedule of six months for design and construction. The project includes many green features, such as regional and recycled materials used to construct the facility and implementation of a comprehensive recycling plan for the building occupants. Through the implementation of these strategies, the project received LEED Certified status by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
