Becker Morgan Group is proud to announce that our design for Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County’s new headquarters in Fruitland, MD, has earned an Excellence in Construction Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors Chesapeake Shores Chapter. Architect Craig Williams, AIA, led the design efforts in partnership with construction manager Gillis Gilkerson.

The 8,200-square-foot renovation transformed a former shirt factory into a vibrant nonprofit hub, now home to Habitat’s administrative offices and a second ReStore location. The adaptive reuse project preserved historic elements, including original hardwood maple floors and an exposed wooden roof deck, while incorporating modern efficiency and thoughtful design. The result is a sustainable, functional, and inspiring space that reflects Habitat’s mission and serves the community for years to come.

This award celebrates the collaboration and creativity of the project team and highlights the lasting impact of quality design and construction.
