Listening

Listening to the people that will be living in and using the facility is imperative. It is crucial to identify the existing problems to provide future success. By starting the design process by listening, the entire design team is on the same page from the project start.

Open Communication  

The design team should bring innovative ideas to the table to solve existing and avoid future problems. Then collaboratively with the design committee, determine which ideas make the most sense for each client. A high level of respect and frankness from both groups during this time leads to a better facility.
