EmergeOrtho

The 55,578 sf, three-story, multi-service orthopedic facility was developed to serve the growing population in the Town of Leland and northern Brunswick County, North Carolina. This project was an up-fit of the existing three-story tilt-up concrete shell building. The first floor includes an ambulatory center with an operating room, a future operating room, two major procedure rooms, a 14-bed pre- and post-operation suite, and all required support spaces. A 654 sf MRI suite is also located on the first floor and includes nursing, changing, waiting, and laboratory areas. The second floor houses the orthopedic clinic and includes 28 exam rooms, four nurse stations, four cast rooms, an x-ray room, a diagnostic suite, and support space. A pain management center, physical therapy suite, and administrative suite are located on the third floor. The pain management center includes an exam area, two procedure rooms, an x-ray room, and pre- and post-procedure spaces. The physical therapy suite includes exam rooms and support spaces. The highlight of the physical therapy suite is the treatment room, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the open space with natural light. The administrative suite houses offices, conference and breakrooms, and available space for the future expansion of the pain management suite.
