Garrison Oak Technology Park
Back to Practice AreaWhen leaders in Dover, Delaware set out to create a 389-acre technology park, they engaged our firm to provide Civil Engineering and Surveying services for the effort. Our team designed the site with 15 parcels, ranging in size from ten acres to 100 acres, including a regional stormwater management plan. After successfully designing and receiving plan approval for the industrial park, our team worked on individual sites within the park.
The first tenant was the Dover Sun Park, a 103-acre, 34,000 panel, ten megawatt solar generation facility established by White Oak Solar Energy, LLC, a division of LS Power. It supplies power for over 1,500 homes and at its completion was the largest solar project in the Northeastern US and the first on Delmarva. The second tenant was the Garrison Energy Center, a natural gas fired power plant for Calpine Corporation. The total cost of the facility was in excess of $300 million, constructed over two phases, and generates 309 megawatts of electricity.
