Tropical Modern Resort Makeover

This complete transformation of the Holiday Inn 67^th Street Ocean City Oceanfront Resort Amenities area brings the tired, outdated 1970s space into the 21st century and beyond. The existing freeform pool, tennis courts, and entire multi-leveled outdoor amenities area were demolished to make way for a complete transformation. A crisp modern edge monumental pool, sun ledge, and spa were imagined to create the resort town’s largest pool and swim-up bar in the state of Maryland. The owners desired the update to visually and functionally “clean up” and modernize the former difficult-to-navigate myriad outdoor spaces while uniting the area into one large sea of high-end Italian travertine stone accessible by all. The new aesthetic blends an updated, sleek Miami modern vibe with warm tropical textures of the new West Indies-style pool bar pavilion crafted from IPE tropical hardwoods, local cedar, and modern lighting while incorporating state-of-the-art beverage and food service amenities.

New expansive deck areas delineated by modern sea glass fire pits, outdoor televisions, snack bar, sun lounging, and dining areas are visually softened by native plants, tropical flora, and swaying palm trees, transforming visitors into distant island vibes. Sound and lighting systems pair to set the mood for escape and relaxation at this totally transformed destination. The property’s visitor and social media response to the upgrades was truly overwhelming, creating our goal of happy clients once again!
