Kent County Recreation Center | Boys & Girls Club of Delaware

A mixed-use facility to accommodate a new branch for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware and a recreation center for Kent County. The one-story facility is located on Kent County park lands next to the Boy Scouts of America Akridge Scout Reservation in Dover. The Boys and Girls Club includes childcare and instructional classrooms, a computer room, teen room, game room, activities room and administrative offices, along with multipurpose meeting and training rooms. The Kent County Recreation Center includes four full-size basketball courts, two indoor multi-purpose fields, and six volleyball courts, along with rest room and locker room facilities, bleachers, and equipment storage. The site master planning included layout of an artificial turf multi-purpose field which is shared between the Boys and Girls Club and Kent County, along with shared parking.
