This residence for busy retail executives is an escape from the bustling coastal resort environment. The limited site is on a peninsula in an established single-family neighborhood, with panoramic bay views to the south and west, and breathtaking sunsets. Seclusion was created for family, relaxation, and entertainment. An open floor plan, organized by a central gallery on both levels, allows all major spaces to overlook the bay. Bright, sophisticated interiors provide balanced natural light for an extensive art collection. Natural materials provide a low-maintenance modern exterior.

Mid-Atlantic coastal vacation resorts are abundant with traditional seaside dwellings, often introverted by exposure and style. This was a unique opportunity to work with clients committed to modern architecture, an escape from the ordinary. A magnificent site in an established neighborhood at the end of a peninsula, with panoramic views of a tranquil coastal bay, was the inspiration of this design. Becker Morgan Group sought to achieve a dramatic celebration of exclusive vistas of the bay and sunsets, while creating a fluid indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
