Richland County Fire Station – Ballentine
Back to Practice AreaDrawing inspiration from the successful design of the Elders Pond Fire and EMS Station, the Ballentine Fire Station was thoughtfully programmed to meet the evolving needs of its community. Rooted in local tradition, the station’s exterior palette reflects the visual language of fire stations throughout Richland County—anchored by a bold red and soft cream colorway that is both instantly recognizable and symbolically strong. Designed to support a crew of five to seven, the station balances operational functionality with the comforts of home. Natural daylight floods the private bedrooms and communal living spaces, promoting well-being during long shifts. A fully equipped kitchen, co-living areas, and private restrooms ensure a sense of privacy and comfort, while a two-bay apparatus garage stands ready for rapid response. Every element was considered to foster efficiency, camaraderie, and resilience. Becker Morgan Group provided comprehensive Architecture, Planning, and Cost Estimating services, bringing expertise and a collaborative spirit to a project that serves as both a critical facility and a second home for its dedicated responders.
