TidalHealth | Residency Training Center
Back to Practice AreaTidalHealth, in collaboration with Becker Morgan Group, recently renovated approximately 7,600 square feet of shell space within the TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital for a new Residency Training Center. This program aims to guide and develop residents into professional, clinically competent, and compassionate providers.
Designed as a collaborative learning zone, glass abounds throughout the entirety of the space, becoming an essential feature for each room. The Medical and Surgery Training areas, used for hands-on learning, occupy a central core with visual access to an uninterrupted line of workstations wrapping the space. In this way, residents may observe and continuously learn even after their formal instruction has ended. The Trauma and Patient Simulation rooms are outfitted with dedicated observation stations. All program areas are set to receive new, state-of-the-art equipment to simulate the patient environment as closely as possible.
The space also features two raised platforms, lecture-style classrooms for Internal Medicine and General Surgery outfitted with built-in desks and acoustical wood-textured ceilings, accommodating up to 32 students. Offices for staff and a glass-lined meeting room for formal and informal discussions complete the space.
