Wellesley P.U.D.

Wellesley P.U.D. is a master-planned residential community located on approximately 165 acres in the unincorporated Clayton area of Johnston County, North Carolina. The development included 243 single-family detached homesites and a comprehensive amenity center featuring tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a clubhouse. An extensive greenway trail system was incorporated throughout the community, providing residents with opportunities for recreation and connectivity.

The project also required several off-site transportation improvements to support the development and enhance traffic operations in the surrounding area. These improvements included construction of a left-turn lane along McLemore Road, left-turn lanes along Matthews Road, and a left-turn lane with a right-turn deceleration lane along Cleveland Road.

Through coordinated planning, engineering, and infrastructure design, the Wellesley P.U.D. development successfully combined residential living, community amenities, and transportation enhancements to create a well-connected and desirable neighborhood environment.
