Delaware State University Agilent Hub for Agriculture, Innovation & Extension Building
Back to Practice AreaBecker Morgan Group provided civil, survey, and architectural services as part of the Design-Build team for Delaware State University’s (DSU) Agilent Hub for Agriculture, Innovation, and Extension. This 10,500-square-foot facility serves as a dedicated home for the College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, supporting administrative functions, education, research, and community outreach initiatives that advance innovation for Delaware’s small farmers and food entrepreneurs.
Located on DSU’s main campus, the site was selected through a comprehensive evaluation process that included geotechnical investigations across multiple potential locations. The project evolved from an initial concept plan and was refined collaboratively with DSU and the design-build team to align with programmatic needs and budget considerations.
The building features a west-side administrative wing and an east-side educational component with flexible classrooms and a demonstration kitchen. A prominent central corridor includes a “green wall” that highlights agricultural elements and integrates emerging technologies, reinforcing the facility’s role in innovation and future-focused learning.
Through a collaborative and thoughtful design approach, the Agilent Hub provides a flexible, modern environment that supports DSU’s mission and strengthens its leadership in agricultural education, research, and community engagement.
