UNCW Film Studies Building

Becker Morgan Group provided Architectural Services for the new construction of a 12,871 sf facility, which includes a 74-seat cinema, sound stage, two sound mixing rooms, and support spaces. The sound stage has 6 zones for sets with the flexibility for any lighting requirements needed. The floor is a raised plywood system so it can easily be built upon, removed, and rebuilt. An outdoor screening area was provided to show student films. The Film Studies major at UNCW supports the Wilmington area motion picture and television production studio, Screen Gems, with student internships.
