Becker Morgan Group provided Civil Engineering and local Architectural consultant services for Richärd Kennedy Architects (Architect of Record), including programming and design of a 97,000 sf building constructed in two phases. Phase I: 27,000 sf building houses advanced optical research laboratories. A suite of shared laboratories provide all occupants with advanced technology testing and instrumentation to support a full spectrum of research needs including: Wet Chemistry, Nanochemistry, Conventional and Confocal Microscopy, Scanning Electronic and Atomic Force Microscopy and a complete image analysis suite. Plans call for a future Phase II: 70,000 sf extension from the complex to add optical and computational laboratories, class 100/1000 clean rooms, expanded office areas, and a 150-seat auditorium.
