“We see market sector diversification becoming a necessity for modern firms to survive due to the rotation of market weaknesses. There are fewer projects overall, which means we need to be positioned to win the projects that are available, whatever the sector. As a full-service firm we can meet client demands, while also being able to cross-sell our services. This leads not only to growth for our firm, but an expanding expertise among our team and unlimited resources for our clients.”

Gregg established Becker Morgan Group’s engineering division and Dover, Delaware office in 1993, creating an opportunity to expand services offered by incorporating surveying and civil engineering greatly. Gregg leads the firm’s civil engineering and surveying division firm-wide, and manages the Delaware team of architects, engineers, surveyors, and interior designers. He also serves as the corporate operations director and leads the firm’s business development and marketing department.

Following 10 years with a small engineering firm, Gregg joined Becker Morgan Group in 1993 as a principal. His past experience taught him that a project is more rewarding, and the design process most effective, when the site engineer and architect work together from the inception of a project to understand the intended use of the site and building. He knew he wanted to work for a company that would encourage robust collaboration among the surveying, engineering, and architectural disciplines, and Becker Morgan Group offered that. It also provided the opportunity to take on a strategic role in the company’s growth. Gregg constantly looks forward.

The Delaware Council of Engineering Societies named Gregg the 2013 Engineer of the Year, both for his professional and technical achievements, as well as his abundant civic and community contributions. In 2008, Gregg founded the Downtown Dover Partnership, where he continues to serve as a member of the economic development committee. He is a member of the Kent Economic Partnership, Delaware Prosperity Partnership, and Delaware Business Roundtable. In 2010, Governor Jack Markell appointed Gregg to the Delaware Solid Waste Authority. He is on the Bayhealth, Inc. board and Delaware Technical Community College Advisory Council and has served on the  Central Delaware YMCA and Wesley College boards. Gregg began giving back to his community through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, where he mentored his first “little brother” from the age of 11 through adulthood. That little brother now is a successful civil engineer with a wife and two children.

Gregg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1984 from Bucknell University.
